232nd Anniversary of the "First Air Voyage In America"
Philadelphia, PA to Deptford, NJ
A hydrogen gas balloon was piloted by the same Frenchman who was the first to cross the English Channel in a Balloon, Jean-Pierre Blanchard. This Flight ascended from a prison yard in Philadelphia, where George Washington observed the launch. Pilot Blanchard ascended to about 5,800 feet, and he made a successful landing in Gloucester County, NJ.

On the Village Green at Quechee, VT
A quaint Vermont town, complete with a covered bridge, hosts this delightful Festival, on the banks of the Ottaquechee River, in an amazingly beautiful Flying area.
